A man washes himself after the dirty and dangerous business of searching for jade amongst rubble dumped by mining companies in northern Myanmar. Lumps of the precious stone can represent a fortune for "handpickers" like him. But the sums fetched by their rare big finds pale next to the staggering wealth extracted by Myanmar's military, the tycoons it helped enrich, and firms linked to the country where most jade ends up: China.Traders inspect hunks of the green stone, particularly prized for its beauty and symbolism in China. "Gold is valuable, but jade is priceless," runs an old Chinese saying.

ျမန္မာျပည္ေျမာက္ပုိင္း ေက်ာက္တူးေဖာ္ေရး ကုမၸဏီမ်ားက စြန္႔ပစ္ထားတဲ့ ေျမစာမ်ား အၾကားမွာ ေက်ာက္စိမ္းကုိ အႏၱရာယ္မ်ားၾကားကေန ရွာေဖြျပီးေနာက္ လူတစ္ေယာက္ဟာ ညစ္ေပေနတဲ့ သူရဲ႕ ခႏၶာကုိယ္ကုိ ေရခ်ိဳးပါတယ္။ အဖုိးတန္တဲ့ ေက်ာက္တုံး အက်ိဳးအပဲ့ေတြဟာ ေရမေဆးသမားျဖစ္တဲ့ သူအတြက္ေတာ့ ဘဝကုိ အၾကီးအက်ယ္ ေျပာင္းလဲေစႏုိင္ပါတယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ သူရရွိတဲ့ ေငြပမာဏဟာ ခ်မ္းသာသထက္ခ်မ္းသာေအာင္လုပ္ေဆာင္ေပးေနတဲ့ မ်ားစြာေသာေက်ာက္စိမ္းမ်ား ကုိ ကုန္ဆုံးသြားေအာင္

သည္တစ္ေယာက္က တရုတ္ႏုိင္ငံထဲက ေက်ာက္စိမ္းရဲ႕ အလွနဲ႔ ေက်ာက္စိမ္းအသြင္အျပင္မ်ားကုိ ဂုဏ္

ယူေနပါတယ္။ ေရႊဟာ တန္ဖိုးသတ္မွတ္လုိ႔ရတယ္ ဒါေပမယ့္ ေက်ာက္စိမ္းကေတာ့ တန္ဖုိးသတ္မွတ္လုိ႔ မရ  တန္ဖုိးအနဂၣထုိက္တန္တယ္ လုိ႔ တရုတ္အဖုိးအုိ တစ္ေယာက္က ေျပာသြားပါတယ္။
